Iran’s production capacity in metal industries to boost: Chairman of IMIDRO

Deputy of Industries and Mines Ministry announced that New Iranian year( started 20 March 2008) will witness implementation of various new projects so country’s production capacity in metal industries section will be scaled up after a period of unchanged footing, reported by Mining and Development.
Signaling government’s policy in controlling the price of steel in domestic market, Ahmad Ali Harati Nik underlined that part of a price soaring in Iran is due to the global situation.

Iran to set up a cement plant in Uruguay
Iran voiced readiness to set up a cement plant in Uruguay, reported by Mining and Development.
Upon presenting a report on restoring and enlarging the cement plant of Paysandu, about 233 miles northwest of Monetvideo by National Administration’s managers to a delegation of the Iranian government´s foreign Investment Agency, Iran voiced its willingness to contribute in installing a cement plant in the South American country.

Iran boosting steel production in Khuzestan
The production of Khuzestan Steel Company will be scaled up to 3,200,000 tones in current Iranian year, reported by Mining and Development.
