World Steel Association announced: IMIDRO Recognized as the Top Middle Eastern Steel Producer in 2008
|
The World Steel Association (World Steel) introduced the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) as the 28th steel producer of the world in 2008.
According to figures, production of IMIDRO reached to 10mil tons in 2008. IMIDRO had been recognized as the 27th steel producer of the world in 2007 with 10.1mil tons of crude steel production.
According to ISS, Arcelor Mittal Co. is recognized as the top steel producer of the world in 2008 with 101.6 mil tons of crude steel production.

Cement Export Consortium Formed
After several months of experts’ discussions and evaluation of producers’ criticisms and advices, the Cement Export Consortium eventually formed with presence of the Iranian cement plants.
The first meeting of the establishers’ board of Cement Export Consortium was held by the title of “Cement Exports and Imports Trading Company” and the members of board of directors of the company have been chosen.
