Exceptional Facilities for Investment in Energy Consuming Industries Zones
The Executive Director of creating special zone for setting up energy consuming industries said that concerning the approval of Parsian – Lamerd energy consuming industries special zone (to be located in the southern provinces of Hormozgan and Fars) in Parliament, the investors can benefit from the legal advantages, reported by IMIDRO’s PR. 

Announcing the new, Abbas Shekar Poor cited that the advantages of special zone includes the possibility of importing goods without paying the customs taxes and commercial interests, not paying customs for the import of the commodities produced in the zone , as well as participation in the foreign investment up to 49 percent. 

“The complete assurance of the domestic investment, as well as the resulted interests, based on the relevant law, the possibility of transit and re-export of goods are listed as other advantages of the investment in the region,” he added. 

Signaling that the contracts for water, electricity and gas will be concluded in the area by the end of 2011, he said: “Currently, the environmental permits, as well as the green lights for establishing Parsian Port Complex, installation of wireless telecommunications, as well as a license to allocate 25 million cubic meters of gas are achieved.” 

Likewise, he noted that many investors in steel, aluminum and petrochemical fields voiced their readiness to finance the projects in the zone. 

Aiming to setting up and developing the energy consuming industries such as steel, aluminum, and petrochemical, the project of creating special zone will be launched, while the zone will enjoy the port and custom facilities.
